If you get a chance to go, it's a must. Even if you don't get a room you can enjoy a great meal at low costs. There is a wonderful trail along the Inn with pond of ducks and swans.
It's okay. Not sure why people get excited about rundown hotels. Perhaps if you are an architect or historian. But this one didn't hit the historic charm button. It could be rather nice with some work. Room we stayed in was hot. Construction outside started at first light. Doors are, how should I put this... Thin . Oh and forget the restaurant if you are Celiac or Gluten Sensitive.
We had a great stay at Glynmill Inn in Corner Brook. We travel a lot for business so weve been around to many hotels in and around this town, and this was the best experience overall. First, their customer service is top notch. From the restaurant staff, to the house keeping and management, everyone is extremely friendly. They really ensure your stay is comfortable and your needs are met. The restaurant located in this hotel has delicious food. The rooms are very spacious, and everything is kept tidy and clean. The area is located in an ideal location close to grocery stores and restaurants. We had a great stay and will be back to this hotel. Definitely recommend this Inn for people from out of town.
Very nice hotel! Great restaurant on location with really good food and a bit of class to it -as well as a pub down the hall if that's more your speed. Beautiful old rooms that have been kept up and reno'd over the years... it's also tucked away at the end of a road so no cross traffic from busy streets etc. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, very clean.
Restaurant closes too early to be able to make it from ferry arrival Port aux Basques. Snack bar or bar snacks would have been VERY welcomed. Tudor style building in residential area, no fast food or other within >km.
