The staff are friendly, and the beds are comfortable, but I'm giving this hotel a one star rating for a few reasons. There was no air conditioning and the room was very hot. They only had a table fan on the dresser that didn't help much at all. The location of the hotel is by the mill where there is a lot of smoke pollution from smoke stacks, so it's not a good location for someone who is asthmatic or sensitive to smoke. They also charge a 200 dollar damage deposit on top of the cost of your stay. We won't be going back to this one. Wasn't worth 160 dollars.
Really basic hotel. The location is not pleasant but the staff was friendly. It's really more of a passing through hotel, as I said, basic.
Great service and fair prices
Had a decent stay at this hotel on a recent overnighter in Corner Brook. First off, I'll say that I stayed there in the early 2000s and am happy to see there were quite a few improvements since then. I'll first mention things that weren't great about our stay. Firstly there is no central ice machine so you always have to go to the front desk to get ice. Secondly, no air conditioning 2huch wasn't nice during our stay(very hot and humid) but there is a fan provided that helped. Thirdly there isn't much sitting room available (although, I realize this is the case with most hotels). Esthetically, the hotel isn't one of the nicest I've seen and is on the lower end. With all that said, the price was great for our stay(last minute decision to stay). Also, the front desk staff were eager to help and very friendly (forgot to mention we needed to sit h rooms when there was an issue with the door lock). There is a restaurant(independently owned but will provide room service - just can't charge it to the room bill but they take interact at the door) and there is a connected lounge (that was a little on the low end side but still had a friendly bar keep). In addition to the above points, I very much enjoyed the mattress and the shower head spray... Both were actually fantastic.I would recommend this if you are looking to keep the price down and do not plan on spending much time in the room. Iwoipd stay here again given those stipulations.
Myself and a few friends spent the night. Rooms were clean, the staff were friendly specifically front desk clerk Shawna. There was no refrigerator in the room so she offered to let us put our things in their fridge and freezer. Allowed my dog to come with me! Beds were very comfy. Wifi in the hotel, a little bit slow at times but over all worked good. Close to most shopping malls and stores!
