It's ok..wish there were a few more clothing stores..and somewheres quick to eat besides just aromas
Not many stores left on the main floor of the mall at all. I was most disappointed to discover that the shoe store Foot locker is no longer in existence in this mall. Eclipse takes its place now as it is no longer located on the upstairs level anymore as there is grocery store there now. Sobey's upstairs has it's pros and is a big convenience on that side of the city. Hope this is helpful
Not what is use to be thats for sure. if it wasnt for sobeys and the dollar store, i dont know if this place would exist anymore....sad
Love going to the valley mall. Great place to go and visit all the little stores except for sobers that's a huge store
I spent my childhood in Corner Brook and many of the Saturdays at the VM (especially the arcade and Leisure World with a trip to the Dairy Queen before we left). Sadly (but not surprisingly) none of these places exist at the mall any more (although there is a pretty cool video game store there now - with one stand up arcade game). There used to be a fantastic huge sky light that was directly over the escalator in a very open balcony type area surrounding it from the second floor. All this has disappointingly been greatly changed and it is a rather dull and lackluster design now. The sobeys on the top floor seemed well enough with a nice mural (I'll add in a pic or 2 of it). A pack 9d good fun stores and food court has decimated one of my favorite childhood hang outs. That's the way it goes though and I'm sure the mall serves a purpose to many. Plenty of parking (presently excessive, really although needed back in the day) and a Tim Hortons in the front parking lot. I wish I had pics of it in its glory days.
